Nako Paulus Sekete, known as Paul Sekete, was a self-trained artist born in Ficksburg, Orange Free State, South Africa. He worked as a miner before joining the Katlehong Art Centre, where he explored various media including oil and acrylic painting, linocut, woodcut, clay, and wood sculpture. Sekete's unique style involved elongation, distortion, and disproportionate scale in depicting the human form.
