Turner, an internationally acclaimed artist and an emeritus professor of ceramic art at New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, died July 26, 2005, at the Friends House Retirement Community in Sandy Spring, MD, where he and his wife, Sue, had resided for the past six years.
