Born on October 1 1844 in the area of Bergamo, Stefano Donadoni began his artistic training at the school of Andrea Marenzi, Academy painter and disciple of P. Ronzoni. Another painter of Bergamo, Costantino Rosa, naturalist, seems to have influenced at least the first activity period Donadoni.
