In 1774, the auction of the art collection of Antwerp mayor Peeter Frans van Schorel (1761-92) contained at least 28 works by Verrijk and the contemporaneous auction of the collection of Jacob Cramer Sijmonsz from Amsterdam contained some 60 Verrijk works....
