Vassilis Sperantsas lived in Paris, France from 1971 to 1977 and probably longer. He was an assistent in lithography at the Beaux-Arts Institute, and used to print his lithos in the Color Lavis technique. As he worked on lithographic stones, he was only able to create small editions of 5 to 15 prints because colors would become too weak otherwise. He was a kind of a... Read full biography

Vassilis Sperantsas lived in Paris, France from 1971 to 1977 and probably longer. He was an assistent in lithography at the Beaux-Arts Institute, and used to print his lithos in the Color Lavis technique. As he worked on lithographic stones, he was only able to create small editions of 5 to 15 prints because colors would become too weak otherwise. He was a kind of a "Greek Picasso" very oriented to the classical female figures in delicate and poetic colors. Bio-photographic note.
