Walter Lazzaro was born in Rome, Italy in 1914. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, and went on to teach painting at various high schools and academies throughout Italy. He also founded and directed the State Art School in Novara, and was an art expert of the Court of Rome. Lazzaro had solo exhibitions in many Italian and foreign cities and was awarded at the Venice International Art Biennale in 1942. Walter Lazzaro was born in Rome, Italy in 1914. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, and went on to teach painting at various high schools and academies throughout Italy. He also founded and directed the State Art School in Novara, and was an art expert of the Court of Rome. Lazzaro had solo exhibitions in many Italian and foreign cities and was awarded at the Venice International Art Biennale in 1942. He was also twice awarded by the Accademia d'Italia and was the creator of the "Settimana d'Arte della Versilia". Lazzaro was invited to numerous Rome Quadrennials, and was the founder of the "Poets-Painters Movement".
