He is known for painting compositions of figures in unique environments, including women by the sea and other similar subject matter. His first painting lessons were with the artist Jen Frim. He then studied at the Free Art School of Károly Kernstok, and then under Adolf Fényes in Szolnok. From 1924 on he attended briefly the Paris Académie Julian. He is known for painting compositions of figures in unique environments, including women by the sea and other similar subject matter. His first painting lessons were with the artist Jen Frim. He then studied at the Free Art School of Károly Kernstok, and then under Adolf Fényes in Szolnok. From 1924 on he attended briefly the Paris Académie Julian. A short time later he had a first success, namely in 1925 an exhibition at the prestigious Galerie Bernheim-Jeune. That same year he had a trip to study at the artists' colony of Baia Mare, where he, among others were devoted to outdoor painting, with artist Béla Iványi-Grünwald and István Réti....
