Yet, Tony's childhood experience of wide skies and unspoilt nature and above all, the very essence of the sun streaked, windswept expanses of countryside observed by the adult Tony in Somerset, Norfolk and France, left an abiding impression. Whilst living and working in the often barren environment of central London, Tony has time and again sought and succeeded in encapsulating in oils the peace and beauty of rural landscapes surrounding him...
