In 1956, he travelled to Paris where he worked closely with artists such as Agam, Soto, Schaeffer, and Vasarely. At the same time he began to focus his art on a two-part kinetics. He also started to explore the relationship between colors in order to obtain a form of optical mélange and kinetic vibration in his art. While interested in vibrant harmonies, Asis has also explored the possibilities of dominant monochromy. He was also interested in geometrical elements such as spheres and spirals.
