Although brought up in Warwickshire, Berrisford would spend his school holidays on his uncle’s farm in Leicestershire learning about nature and the countryside. Whenever opportunity arose he would spend time drawing and painting. In these early years he wanted to train as an architect but his love of the countryside led him to take up painting. Whenever opportunity arose he would spend time drawing and painting. In these early years he wanted to train as an architect but his love of the countryside led him to take up painting. Five years training at Winchester and Southampton University, where he obtained a degree, set him on the road to a career in art. For some 20 years he taught art, painting and exhibiting when he could. He finally decided to take the plunge and become a full-time artist. His first exhibition as a professional painter was at the CLA Game Fair at Stowe where he showcased his particular interest in game... Read full biography
