Half a year he spent at the Academy of Art in Berlin-Charlottenburg and in 1930 he spent a year studying in Paris, where he was in close contact with his French contemporaries. Half a year he spent at the Academy of Art in Berlin-Charlottenburg and in 1930 he spent a year studying in Paris, where he was in close contact with his French contemporaries. Immediately after his return from Paris, Kunitzer began to exhibit his works, which lead to a grant to study at the Academy of Arts in Munich. He stayed in Germany for the rest of his life and after the war started exhibiting again in 1947. He retired to Northern Hessen where he was an active part of the cultural community.
