"Gerda Christoffersen, internationally know painter, was born in Denmark and has spent most of her life in Canada and the United States studying the culture of North American Indians and is now an authority on the subject. She has also studied anatomy with H. G. Glyde of England. She has created the original style of the "Papoose Paintings" and is uninfluenced by any art trend or form.
