He moved to Los Angeles about 1910 and for 20 years was a teacher of stagecraft at Lincoln High School. During this time he authored a play entitled 'Flamingo Arrow." An authority on American Indians, in 1928 he founded the Yato Kya Indian Museum nearby in Antelope Valley. Edwards died in Lancaster, CA on July 19, 1953.
