Klaus Clausmeyer was a German painter and collector, born in Munich. Klaus Clausmeyer enjoyed a great success with his portraits and large-format society scenes. He was a collector as well; about 1000 objects of African, Asian and Oceanic art from his collection are now in the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum. On his art, however, these objects had little influence. In addition to the works mentioned above, Clausmeyer created numerous floral still lifes. (cko)
