He completed his education in Paris and picturesque Munich with Heinrich Knirr. On the occasion of the National Exhibition Bern 1914, he created a monumental painting. Although he showed a great talent for painting early on, after high school he attended first medical school in Bern and graduated in Medicine. He completed his education in Paris and picturesque Munich with Heinrich Knirr. On the occasion of the National Exhibition Bern 1914, he created a monumental painting. In the 1920s, he married the daughter of a doctor, and moved with her, as a painter after Merligen, on Lake Thun. Marcus Jacobi became famous with his numerous lake and river landscapes.
