Barratt's work has been exhibited internationally. Additionally, he has completed commissions for many prestigious clients including the BBC and the Palace of Westminster. In 1993, he was elected to the Royal Society of British Sculptors. In 1997, he became the director for the Burghley Sculpture Garden.
