Michael’s primary medium is steel. His statues are typically made of small purposeful shapes welded together to create a larger single image. Michael won the Calgary Stampede Western Art Show Best New Artist in 2011, Best In Show Artisan in 2013 and Best In Show 3D in 2015. In 2014 Michael unveiled his first 18-foot public art piece at the entrance to the town of Carseland for their 100th Anniversary. Recently for 2017, Michael has been awarded commissions to do a large public art piece for SAIT’s Centennial celebration, a Town of Cochrane Public Art Mural (40 ft. long) and a...
