Later he graduated from the department of Medicine, Kyushu Imperial University. At its 75th anniversary in the summer of 1975, Guo made a poem as the Sixteenth graduate from the school and presented to his alma mater and classmates. This illustrates his love towards his second home, Okayama and his alma mater. The poem was also published on the front cover of the school's memorial collection "Liu Leng retrospect".
