His paintings look at the interactions between people today and the art and architecture of the past, and question the dividing line between art and reality. Born in Fordingbridge in Hampshire, Richard graduated in Art History at York University in 1986, and moved to Glasgow in 1988. Following a series of prestigious commissions throughout Scotland, his work sold out at its first showing in Glasgow Art Fair in 2005, and since then his stock has risen with a series of highly successful, headline-grabbing shows in Glasgow, Dublin and London.
