Born in Dublin, Tony McNally graduated in botany from UCD where he completed a doctorate in peatland ecology. He brings his intimate knowledge of Ireland's remote and wild landscapes to his paintings. He has studied art at the NCAD in Dublin, and has also spent a number of years working and painting in Northern Canada. A fluent Gaelic speaker, Tony is passionate about Celtic culture.
