He is also the father of the history painter Wilhelm von Wörndle (1863-1927). In 1846, along with his brother August von Wörndle (history painter and Nazarenes, 1829-1902), studied at the Academy in Vienna with Josef von Führich, Franz Steinfeld and Thomas Ender. He is also the father of the history painter Wilhelm von Wörndle (1863-1927).
