He went to Munich in 1675 and became the first painter at the court of Maximilian II Emmanuel Wittelsbach. He was known for his altarpiece of him with the Miracle of Sant'Antonio da Padova in the basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. He died in Venice after a long pilgrimage to Europe.
