The Lloyd Center Fountain Group was commissioned in 1960 for the open air shopping mall in Portland, Oregon. The taller fountain measure 7.5’ x 4’ and the smaller fountain is 5’ x 8’ x 3’. These are two of the approximately 70 public commission fountains that George produced in his career.

Here is a rare early work for Tsutakawa. It was executed on the U.S. Army Base in Camp Fannin, Texas on October 1st, 1943. George traveled around while in the service during WWII, when this was made. It is fully inscribed and titled on the verso.
