Henry Varnum Poor ART FOR SALE

Appears to be Monterey Bay but not certain. Poor graduated from Stanford in 1910 and returned several years later to teach there. He later befriended John Steinbeck.

Exhibited: Realism in 20th Century American Painting, The Ogunquit Museum of Art, Ogunquit, ME, August 18- September 30, 1997. In its frame measures 19 x 23 inches.

Signed and titled verso. According to the artist's son, the location is Corn Hill, Truro and the fish were caught by the artist on Ballston Beach.
