A stunning etherial, luminist view of Mt Rainier from Lake Washington, flanked by Mercer Island and Seward Park in the mid-ground. In period gilt American cove frame. Elliott painted in Yellowstone Park with Thomas Moran in 1871 and is associated with the conservation of the Alaskan fur seal.
