Although unsigned, the painting is dated July of 1891 and features Tibalau Beach, Maubara, Liguica Timor. LaFarge and Henry Adams passed by Timor that month as part of the South Pacific tour. The "rumah bulat" huts on the beach add as sense of romanticism.
