"The Lovers" is a 1930s regionalist American scene painting with a man playing the guitar while a woman reclines against him. Presented in a vintage/original frame, outer dimensions measure 39 x 52 x 1 inches. Canvas excluding the frame measures 33 x 46 inches.

Peppino Mangravite first studied at the Broadmoor Art Academy in Colorado Springs with John Carlson. He returned as a teacher and interim director in the 1930s and 1940s. In its frame measures 35 1/2 x 37 1/2 inches.
