One of Banks' finest exhibition pictures, with swirling visionary symbolism!

Wonderful imagery with very thickly applied casein paint on burlap/masonite, exhibited at the Grand Central Galleries in NYC. Banks exhibited at the Whitney and PAFA, among other major venues. She is a Seattle artist, and this is probably an image of the Montlake Cut toward Lake Union with the University Bridge in background. Though she spent most of her time exhibiting at major museums and galleries in the major art centers of the NE USA. She is still little known, as most of her best paintings were held in her estate until very recently.
