During the seventies he travelled all over Europe where he came into contact with the expressionist movement. A decade later he began to work as a teacher of Mural Painting at the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos. Many of his works represent images or are inspired by characters from classical antiquity, as in this particular case, whose protagonist is Danae.
