He then spent another six years at the academy in Antwerp. In London, Cecil van Haanen worked as an illustrator for newspapers and magazines for six months. From 1873 on, he mainly lived in Venice. Today, his works can be found in major art collections, such as the Albertina and the Gallery Belvedere in Vienna. The artist passed away in 1914....
