Her styles were realism and naturalism. She studied at the Slade School of Art, London (1904) under Henry Tonks, Philip Wilson Steer and Sir Walter Westley Russell; and at the Académie Colarossi, Paris; and the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, Paris under Lucien Simon (finishing in 1911).
