Ferdinand Wagner was the son of Ferdinand Wagner senior, from whom he received the first lessons. After a trip to Italy in 1867-1868, he continued his artistic studies at the Munich Academy of Arts, led by Peter Von Cornelius and Julius Schnorr Von Carolsfeld. Much appreciated as a decorative painter, he performed several works on the wall and ceiling of the Munich Ratskeller. Much appreciated as a decorative painter, he performed several works on the wall and ceiling of the Munich Ratskeller. In Passau, he painted two works in the large town hall, he also decorated the Drachenburg dining room in the Kônigswinter on the Rhine, Roth and Luitpold's Cafe in Munich and the Tivoli restaurant in London; in 1890 he was commissioned numerous works of art for the Prince Bismarck steamship....
