François Boucheix was born in 1940 in an isolated farm in the heart of Auvergne. At fifteen, following the death of his father, which marked him deeply, François was forced to leave school to work. Very quickly, he devoted his free time to painting, until late at night, and developed a passion for surrealist painters. In 1960, conscript, he took with him canvases and brushes to Tunisia. François Boucheix was born in 1940 in an isolated farm in the heart of Auvergne. At fifteen, following the death of his father, which marked him deeply, François was forced to leave school to work. Very quickly, he devoted his free time to painting, until late at night, and developed a passion for surrealist painters. In 1960, conscript, he took with him canvases and brushes to Tunisia. After a few months, he was invited to exhibit his works at the Cercle des officers: François Boucheix was 20 years old, this was his first exhibition. Forced to return to France without his paintings, he distributed most of them to his comrades and to the officers with whom he sympathized, keeping only four who would pass through Tunisian customs as best...
