He utilizes drawing and print-based techniques to create dynamic sculptures, installations, and collaborative performances. His work is inspired by ancient civilizations, oral-history traditions, and his childhood memories of Syria and Armenia. He utilizes drawing and print-based techniques to create dynamic sculptures, installations, and collaborative performances. His work is inspired by ancient civilizations, oral-history traditions, and his childhood memories of Syria and Armenia. Mourad's projects address sociopolitical histories, the struggles of political refugees, and religious tolerance, particularly within Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faiths. He holds an MFA from the Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre and is the sole visual artist member of Yo-Yo Ma's Silkroad Ensemble.
