Chlanda worked at the University of Silesia in Cieszyn from 1986 to 1988. In 1997, he won the Nowosielski Foundation Award for his artistic achievements in drawing and sculpture, where he combined the two fields innovatively, incorporating movement into his arrangements. His works are influenced by literature, mythology, and mysticism.
