    Marek Chlanda, a Polish artist, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and obtained his diploma in Graphics in 1978. He was a teacher at the Krakow university in the early 1980s and conducted the Traveling Academy experiment in 1983–1984 with students from Norway. Chlanda worked at the University of Silesia in Cieszyn from 1986 to 1988. In 1997, he won the Nowosielski Foundation Award for his artistic achievements in drawing and sculpture, where he combined the two fields innovatively, incorporating movement into his arrangements. His works are influenced by literature, mythology, and mysticism.
