Max Fritz was a German landscape painter born in Berlin in 1849. Max Fritz received private lessons and later emigrated to North America in 1869. After returning to Germany, Fritz worked in Dresden, Munich, Berlin, Lübben, and Detmold. Fritz was a member of the Association of Berlin Artists and sent numerous exhibitions such as the Great Berlin Art Exhibition. After returning to Germany, Fritz worked in Dresden, Munich, Berlin, Lübben, and Detmold. Fritz was a member of the Association of Berlin Artists and sent numerous exhibitions such as the Great Berlin Art Exhibition. Fritz received various honors, including an honorary diploma from Dresden in 1887 and “Mention honorable” in 1900 at the World Exhibition in Paris. He is represented in the Altenburg Museum and Gotha Castle. Fritz's artwork style was German landscape painting. The artist passed away in 1930.
