    Aloïs Boudry was a Belgian painter , known for his portraits, still lifes, interiors, scenes of fishermen and characters in their environment. He first studied at the academy in Ypres, then in Roeselare and finally at the Academy of Antwerp with Nicaise De Keyser and J. From Lerius .

    In 1885, he joined " If I Could ", an Antwerp association of visual artists who worked in the traditional way. He took part in the Brussels World's Fair of 1910 and gave an exhibition in Antwerp in 1906. There was also a painting of him exhibited at Kunsthalle Bremen in 1898.
    When the Municipality of Heist in 1913 issued a brochure to promote the coastal town, the poster designed by Aloïs Boudry.
