About Bayard Henry Tyler

    Bayard Henry Tyler was born in 1855 in Oneida, Madison County, New York. He was a member of the Art Students League of New York, and was a student of the National Academy of Design. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club, and of the New York Watercolor Society.

    His work has been exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington DC. He is known for his quiet, impressionistic landscapes, especially paintings featuring the Hudson River.

    Tyler died in Yonkers in 1931.
