Brian Grimm was born in 1968, and like many artists knew at an early age that art was his calling. He was raised on a small farm in central Texas where this focus was not a traditional choice of trade.

Fortuitously Brian was introduced to master wildlife painter, Ken Carlson, who became highly influential on his career. While Brian was in high school, his father fell to cancer, and personal tragedy influenced Brian to remain in Texas to pursue a stable career in commercial art. After seven years, Brian began his pursuit of his fine art career with the encouragement of his wife.
