Fortuitously Brian was introduced to master wildlife painter, Ken Carlson, who became highly influential on his career. While Brian was in high school, his father fell to cancer, and personal tragedy influenced Brian to remain in Texas to pursue a stable career in commercial art. After seven years, Brian began his pursuit of his fine art career with the encouragement of his wife. The subjects of his paintings are western wildlife, longhorn cattle, and western landscapes.
