  • Biography

    Born in Moscow, Fritz Wildhagen initially studied art history under Herman Grimm in Berlin and later painting at the Academy of Fine Arts under Frederick Kallmorgen and Paul Vorgang. He traveled through large parts of Europe and Africa as well as Persia and Russia. Wildhagen worked in Berlin for many years, then in Gdansk and later in Westphalia.

    He was a member of the National Association of Visual Artists in Germany and the Berlin Artists’ Association. Wildhagen created mainly impressionist landscapes in which he captured the seasonal atmospheres of nature.
