About Grant Hacking

  • Biography

    Having spent his childhood in South Africa, he had early exposure to the wild animals that he depicts including tigers and zebras. He began his art career by doing portraits in the army of high-ranking officers and of historical buildings.

    In 1990, he moved to the United States, working at Macy's Department store in Chicago. He is a member of the Society of Animal Artists. In 1996, he took Best of Show and First Place VIP Choice at the "Southeastern Wildlife Exposition." In 2008, he won "Best of Show" at the 9th Annual "Wildlife & Western Visions Art Show."
