    Helmut Sturm (1932-2008)
    From 1952 to 1958, the German painter Helmut Sturm studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He co-founded the artist group SPUR (1957-1965), and the Children's Forum in the Forum Gallery van de Loo in Munich in 1970. From 1980 to 1982, he was a visiting professor at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. From 1985 until 1998, he was the successor of Günter Fruhtrunk at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Works by Helmut Sturm are on display in major museum collections, including the Kunsthalle Emden (donation Otto van de Loo).
