Bleking's son Henrik Nordenberg was already able to start developing his artistic talent at a young age under the tutelage of his uncle, the artist Bengt Nordenberg (1822-1902). Only sixteen years old, Henrik won admission to the Art Academy in Düsseldorf, where he studied during the years 1873-1884. Henrik Nordenberg settled permanently in Düsseldorf and, with breaks for summer stays in Blekinge, was active in the German art metropolis until his death in 1928.Although Henrik Nordenberg was initially influenced by his uncle Bengt Nordenberg's painting, he developed his own style with a significantly brighter and healthier color.
