    Hermine Biedermann-Arendts was born Hermine Arendts, also Arndts, in 1855 Munchen. Arendts began to paint at the suggestion of the history painter August von Heckel in 1870. She was initially self-taught in Freising. In 1874, she married in 1874 the high school professor Dr. Biedermann and called herself Biedermann-Arendts. In 1875, she began private lessons with Heinrich von Zügel in Dachau and Munich. Hermine Biedermann-Arendts later maintained a painting school for women. She also staged exhibitions in Berlin, London, Nuremberg and the Munich Glass Palace. In 1878, Biedermann-Arendts was honored with the silver medal of the London Crystal Palace. Her buyers included Empress Elisabeth ("Sissi") of Austria, Prince Regent Luitpold and PrThieme-Becker, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", AKL, Bénézit, Boetticher, Müller-Singer, "Käthe, Paula and all the rest", Bruckmann "Munich painter of the 19th / 20th century", Dressler and Wikipedia....
