She was initially self-taught in Freising. In 1874, she married in 1874 the high school professor Dr. Biedermann and called herself Biedermann-Arendts. She was initially self-taught in Freising. In 1874, she married in 1874 the high school professor Dr. Biedermann and called herself Biedermann-Arendts. In 1875, she began private lessons with Heinrich von Zügel in Dachau and Munich. Hermine Biedermann-Arendts later maintained a painting school for women. She also staged exhibitions in Berlin, London, Nuremberg and the Munich Glass Palace. In 1878, Biedermann-Arendts was honored with the silver medal of the London Crystal Palace.
