About Howard Post

  • Biography

    Excepting a brief stay in Utah, Howard Post has been a life-long resident of Arizona and describes himself as an impressionist of the contemporary West.

    He was a rodeo rider and artist and grew up on a small ranch, in the family for three generations, near Tucson. His dad also had a hardware store. He rode in his first rodeo at age fourteen and also did many drawings. He attended private studio lessons in Tucson and enrolled at the University of Arizona where he majored in art and earned a Bachelor and Master's of Fine Arts. He was also on the rodeo team.
