About John W Bashor

  • Biography

    Born in Newton, Kansas, John Bashor is a painter and art educator who received his formal training at Washburn University and the University of Iowa and then taught art at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas (1954-1966).

    He moved to Bozeman, Montana where in 1966, he became Director of the School of Art at Montana State University, and also became an established painter. He uses loose strokes and much color contrast, and his preferred medium is acrylic.
