    Yuri Kuper ( b.1940)

    Yuri Kuper was born in 1940 in Moscow, Russia.

    From 1957 to 1963, Kuper studied in the Fine Art Department, at , Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. For a time, Kuper was a book designer, working for the publishing house Young Guard. In 1967, he became a member of the Artist Union in the USSR.

    At thirty-two, Kuper emigrated to Israel. Soon after, he moved to London. And then in 1975 to Paris, France. He was awarded the Scholarship of the Yaddo Artist Colony in Saratoga Springs in 1973. In 1974, Kuper published a novel in New York, Focus Sacres a Moscou.
